چکیده
For the first time, Fe-doping (0.05, 1.0, and 2.5 wt.% Fe) was performed on a high-surface-area anatase/brookite TiO2 by adopting simple template-free sol-gel synthesis followed calcination at mild temperature. The powders’ textural surface properties were characterized following multi-technique approach. XRD analysis showed that ratio slightly varied in Fe-doped (from 76.9/23.1 to 79.3/22.7); Fe doping noticeably affected cell volume of brookite phase, which decreased, likely due Fe3+ ions occupying interstitial positions, retarded crystallite growth. In this study Fe (III)-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by sol-gel method at two atomic ratio of Fe/Ti, 0.006 and 0.034 percent. Then the photoactivity of them was investigated on degradation of phenol under UV (<380 nm) irradiation and visible light (>380 nm). Results showed that at appropriate atomic ratio of Fe to Ti (% 0.034) photoactivity of Fe(III)-doped TiO2 nanoparticles increa...
